Corralitos Open Farm Tours Market Place!

Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 10:00am – 4:00pm

Alladin Nursery has partnered with Open Farm Tours again this year in creating a vibrant place to celebrate our farm based community. Stop by the Market Place located here at Alladin Nursery for fresh artisan food, live music, a kid’s activity area and food preservation demonstrations going on throughout the entire day.

Stop by for lunch! We’re serving it up fresh with Corralitos Sausage sandwiches, My Mom’s Mole, and wood oven pizza from Fired Up Fresh. Local vendors from the El Pajaro CDC Commercial Kitchen Incubator… plus local wine, delicious refreshing beverages, desserts and much more!!

Demonstrations:
The Live Oak Grange is sponsoring three demonstrations this year! Granger Morganne will teach you how to make Kimchee using basic fermentation methods. Then Lauren will be doing a tomato jam presentation followed by Ellen & Freddie showing you how easy it is to make your own delicious sodas at home!

Kids Activity Area:
Lakeside Organic Gardens is sponsoring our kids “Play With Your Food” area this year. Kids can let their imaginations go wild using produce to create a variety of creative themes and sculptures.
Live Oak Grange is sponsoring a kids farm animal area with goats, chickens, a turkey, bunnies and more!
Santa Cruz Community Farmers Market is sponsoring a photo booth area complete with costumes & props for fun family pictures.

Straw Bale Veggie Garden Class

Our very own William Santos will teach you how to make a unique vegetable garden in a hot straw bale! This is great for people who have struggled to grow vegetables, are limited with space, or even those who want to try something new.

Step-by-step instruction, from setting up and prepping the bales to planting, irrigation, and pest management will have you ready to start a straw bale garden in no time!

Class is FREE and open to everyone of all ages!

 

Succulent Wreath Workshop (Nov 4th Class – FULL)

Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 11:00am – 1:00pm

Ever wanted to make a beautiful, living succulent wreath? Well now you can! Come to Alladin’s to learn how to create, care for, and properly display your very own living masterpiece!

Your instructor will be Tamara Cucchiara, better known as “The Succulent Diva.” She is considered the “go to expert” in the community for succulent designing, demonstrations, teaching, care and propagation. Her love for succulents shows in her amazing work!

Cost: $65 per person
Includes all the resources (10″ wreath frame, gloves, soil & moss, floral pins, wire, succulents) necessary to create and properly maintain a “Living Succulent Wreath”

13th Annual Christmas Open House

FRI – SUN, December 1 – 3, 2017

4:00pm – 8:00pm

Our 13th Annual Christmas Open House is approaching!

Sit around the fire and enjoy a cup of hot coffee or hot apple cider. Once you’ve warmed up, dance to live jazz and have a glass of wine from local wineries.

Try some of Dora’s delicious homemade pastries. Bring in your favorite pastries to share!

Then take a stroll through the Gift Shop, as it is transformed into a beautiful Christmas wonderland, full of gifts for everyone to enjoy!
